The Grey Heron , nestled on a rural farm offering a unique and deeply restorative approach to movement through the Pilates Method.
This method, originally developed by Joseph Pilates, is grounded in mindful movement, breath awareness and functional strength.
At its heart, Pilates is a practice of reconnection - between mind and body, movement and slow pace, strength and endurance.
Here at The Grey Heron we honour this philosophy in every session, creating a welcoming space for everybody to rebuild and realign
- both physically, mentally and emotionally.

Pilates is for everybody, and our studio is here for you. Whether you’re looking to improve general fitness, support postural alignment or move with more ease and confidence in daily life, our programs are tailored to meet you where you are and guide your journey.
With a strong emphasis on functional movement patterns, our sessions focus on stability, mobility and balance.
These are the foundations not only of effective Pilates but also of pain-free, sustainable movement in everyday living.
We offer pre and postnatal Pilates and fitness, trimester-specific programming and safe guidance through pregnancy and into motherhood.
These sessions focus on pelvic floor health, spinal support, breath work and body awareness. Helping women feel empowered and resilient through the many changes that occur during this transformative time. Postnatally, our approach gently supports recovery, realignment and reconnection to the core and deeper stabilising systems. Mamas who's babies are not on the move yet are welcome to come along to the studio.
Pilates is also a highly effective tool for rehabilitation, we work one on one with you to restore functional movement patterns, improve muscular balance and support long-term recovery in a calm and encouraging environment for those navigating chronic conditions and injury recovery.
Small class sizes means attentive cueing, correction and a small share space where you won't feel overwhelmed.
Athletically Pilates can challenge with endurance, flexibly and strength and assist in injury prevention.
